MTC Viper 3-12x44

Postby Saxon » Fri Nov 09, 2012 2:18 pm

Ok I will start this post with a apology! I have been a long standing "broadcaster" of the fact that a scope does NOT play a big role when shooting and have claimed that a Gamo can do anything any other scope can do! ................."face palm, told you so etc etc" insert what you like...... I was wrong! For once I listened to someone in the know and took possession of a MTC Viper 3-12x44 SCB. Now I have been doing a few mods on the trusty Condor so while I was at it I fitted the scope. Very impressed, EVERYTHING was in the box ....get this "tools to tighten the sun shades", scope mounts and they not the cheap ones and allen keys..

Everything mounted and tightened, it was off to the shooting bench. Glass is of the best I've seen....only used Gamo and NS in the past, clear and no "black hairs" inside that should not be inside a scope, as I found in one of the other scopes I recently bought. 25m and 6 pellets later she was on target. I set the Condor down and went to get a cuppa. Resumed my possession behind the scope, made a few measurements, fed all that info into chairgun. I then placed a few targets @30, 35, 40, 45 and one at 60m, using the printout from chairgun, I managed to place them all within a 1.5cm radius from the bull.
Very happy with this and will do some field work with it over the weekend and report back!
PS Condor now running at 1020 with JSB 13.77
